FairBid ("the App") is operated by Tortoise Shell LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our iOS application. By using FairBid, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information to operate the App:

• Account information: Email address and password (if using email sign-in), or your Apple ID-associated name and email (if using Sign in with Apple).
• Profile information: Business name, owner name, address, phone number, email, company logo, and payment link — entered voluntarily in Settings.
• Job data: Job descriptions, client names, addresses, photos, estimates, line items, scope of work, receipts, and notes you enter into the App.
• Usage data: Number of AI estimates generated, subscription tier, and job generation logs used to enforce subscription limits.
• Voice input: Audio is transcribed locally or via Apple's speech recognition APIs. We do not store raw audio recordings.
• Device information: iOS version and device type, used for compatibility and error handling.

How We Use Your Information

• To generate AI-powered estimates using your job descriptions (processed via OpenAI's API)
• To retrieve live materials pricing from Home Depot and Lowe's
• To retrieve regional market rate data via web search
• To generate PDF quotes and contracts using your profile and job data
• To sync your settings and jobs across your devices via Supabase
• To manage your subscription via RevenueCat and Apple's StoreKit
• To enforce subscription limits and usage counts
• To provide customer support when you contact us

Third-Party Services

FairBid uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Supabase — Cloud database, authentication, and file storage. Your job data and settings are stored in Supabase's infrastructure. Supabase Privacy Policy

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in Supabase's cloud infrastructure with row-level security (RLS) policies that ensure only your account can access your data. All data in transit is encrypted using TLS. Company logos and job photos are stored in Supabase Storage with access restricted to your account.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. Your job data is used only to operate the App's features on your behalf.

Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account from within the App (Settings → Account → Delete Account). Account deletion permanently removes all associated jobs, settings, photos, and authentication records. This action is irreversible.

Children's Privacy

FairBid is intended for use by adults operating professional contracting businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 years of age.

Your Rights

You may access, update, or delete your personal information at any time through the App's Settings. To request a copy of your data or to raise a privacy concern, contact us at the address below.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or by updating the effective date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
